I am amazed at the amount of companies who are reading my blogs and then adding links to their sites to try and get the public duped into buying what they think is going to be a genuine pair of UGG AUstralia boots.

Anyone can cut and paste a genuine image of UGG Australia Boots and pop it on a website claiming that this is what they are selling, however I can guarantee that the image you see will not be what you receive if you choose to buy from these companies.

We regularly get customers coming into the shop asking us if we think the boots they have bought are the real deal or not and every time they are awful fakes. The thing you have to remember is that if you are concerned that they may be fake then they probably are.

UGG Australia products are of such a high quality that you would never question their status once you see them. Because a website shows you lots of UGG Australia logos and images, does NOT mean they are official UGG Australia stockists. UGG Australia do not allow anyone to use the word UGG in the domain name of their site, so when you see ugg somewhere in the websites address, that is the first clue that the site could be dodgy! Secondly, all genuine UGG Australia stockists carry a vast range of the brands merchandise, including, hats gloves and scarves, so when you see loads of imagery but no accessories or care kits that too is a warning sign.

All the fake sites do is steal the brand imagery, load it up to their site to make out they are genuine stockists and then ship you cheap junk that is nothing near the quality of a genuine UGG Australia product.

First thing you should do is look at the ABOUT US section on a website, when you click on this, you should see a bit of history about the business and the details of the people who you are going to be buying from. Then go and look at the CONTACT US section, this should supply you with a business address and a landline telephone number. At this stage, I would call the store to see if you can talk to a human being and to check out the customer service offered. The site should also show you some images of the actual bricks and mortar business, so you can see the environment you are buying from.

If you cannot get this basic information from the site, leave it and look elsewhere, you are obviously dealing with someone who does not want you to know too much about them. This is so you cannot call them to complain when you realise you have been ripped off!!!

If you see the latest UGG AUstralia styles at less than half the price they are on other sites then it should raise alarm bells. Genuine stockists do reduce certain styles and sizes from time to time, but never on new styles just launched, so if you think it is too good to be true, then it probably is!

Finally, if you are still unsure after phoning the store, email the UGG Australia web site, quote the store you plan to buy from and they will reply to you as to whether they are authorised stockists or not.

Gone are the days when we used to have shops full of brands retailing dresses at £500. Ten years ago we regularly sold outfits at £350 to a girl who was going to wear it out to a club that night. Brands were king in those days and you would not be seen dead in anyting that was not some form of designer label. How the credit crunch changed all that. We are now selling dresses from £25.00 previously, our cheapest dress would have been a Lipsy style at around £45.00 however nowadays Lipsy is considered expensive. Girls going out on a saturday night now wear their Primark labels like badges of honour and are proud that their full outfits cost only £14.00. Ten years ago you would have been embarrassed to say your lipstick was only £14.00 as we were once so designer led!!! To be honest,fast fashion is a great cheap way for a quick fashion fix, however, it will never last like the gorgeous designer dresses we sell, and I cannot help but think who really pays for all this throwaway fashion?

This month saw Bolongaro Trevor featured in Grazia Magazine's fashion chart. The brand is the creation of ALL SAINTS founders Stewart Trevor and Kate Bolongaro who after selling ALL SAINTS, decided a life retired spending their millions was not for them and quickly decided to start up all over again with a new collection. I bought the range for my boutique after being chased by the brand to become a stockist as they wanted to be stocked in the top boutiques in the UK and we of course are one of them! When I first saw the ranges I fell in love with the unique styling and features that had been missing from UK design for many seasons. We have stocked the collection for over a year now and are about to receive Spring Summer. The range is lovely, and I am keeping my fingers crossed that this will be the season that the brand hits the heights that ALL SAINTS did when we stocked the label many years ago.

More and more we have been seeing women coming into the shops looking for a fast fashion fix. By this I mean, women enter the shop, have a quick look around, pick up a piece that catches their eye, check the price then go straight to the cashdesk and pay for the item without trying it on. These women are simply after a "fix". Nine times out of ten, it will be a new top they buy but increasingly we see accessories being the choice of these style savvy customers whose lunch hour is not complete without a small purchase to brighten up their day

Citizens of Humanity Jeans are selling really well on our site at the moment, and think it is due to the fact that people struggle to get them in the shops. Alot of stores only sell one or two styles, which, if you are a fan of the brand is not much use. We sell the Kelly Bootcut Jean in two washes, Ingrid Flare in two washes, Elson Straight Leg in two washes and the Ava Skinny in one wash, so our choice is quite good for the citizens fan. I saw in Grazia magazine the other week that in their fashion charts they placed ALEXIA SCARVES as No 3. The particular style is due in to us in November, but we cant help but wonder why its taken Grazia so long to put this fabulous range into their fashion top 10. We have been selling the label for over two years now and have been amazed at how they sell to women of all ages. The great thing is, you can wear them with anything and they instantly add the wow factor to the blandest of outfits. Today we sold one to a cool twentysomething female who put it on there and then in the shop and then later on an elderly woman bought one to brighten up last years winter coat. Ugg Cardie Boots seem to be the in thing just now. I have been selling them since April this year and no matter how many pairs we get delivered, they sell out. We have a waiting list for certain sizes and in my next two deliveries the size 5's are reserved already! I've gor the grey ones and they are the loveliest comfy boots I have ever owned, perhaps that is why women are going mad for them? We can afterall only squeeze our feet into stilletos for so long!!!!

I first spotted the fantastic spanish label Desigual in January at a fashion event in Barcelona and fell in love straight away. It was really funky and unusual and perfect for my shops, we launched the range on 21 August and sold out of two styles of coats that day! There are few brands that can do that and I am just so glad that I had the insight as a buyer to select this brand, it makes me happy when I see my customers deelighted leaving my shops with the coolest clothing on the planet.
